It was Saturday, May 1st.

and

Thank you glorious, patient wonderful, loving and POWERFUL St. Joseph!

I can't help but imagine the sorrow and despair the God of the Bible must feel for you, that you would pray to, exalt, and glorify Joseph, a dead, earthly man, or Mary, a dead, earthly woman.

Jesus, the Son of God, said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." ~John 14:6

"He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err." Mark 12:27

Tell me, when did the God of the Bible tell us to pray to saints? Indeed, who is a saint but every Christian? The Christians mentioned in Romans 15 and 16, and those in Ephesians 1 were alive and called saints, so why must a person be dead to be called a saint by the Catholic Church? And by whose authority are people selected of men to be saints?

Whose word dictates that we must seek the intercession of people outside the Holiness of God? Is it in God's Word, or in the words of men?

Tell me, when did God speak of feasts to the saints, or of prayers to them?

  2. It is SO good to read your posts again. Your love for St. Joseph is inspirational, and the lessons you learned here can help all of us. It made me really reflect on my own life to look for places God has been trying to help me ... but has been blocked out by my pride and stubbornness! God Bless you!

  3. Yes! It's wonderful to "see" you dear friend ... through your faithful posts! And I'm glad that your prayers to the Good God were so favorably answered. Isn't God gracious?! You inspire this poor sinner as well.

I will keep you -- and your family -- in my prayers, that all goes well now and in the days ahead! ☺ ☺ ☺

  4. Son 3,

Do you believe in eternal life?

    I hope so.

Are you suggesting that St. Joseph is not in heaven? That he is not enjoying eternal life?

He is more alive than you or I are.

His magnificent, sinless wife is very much alive as well.

And Jesus, whom you undoubtedly love very much, loves them very much.

That is why they are so close to Him.

I have never understood why people who love Jesus insult people who admire His parents.

In response to this and some other lurker who periodically shows up to insult the Bless Virgin, I will write a post on why I venerate the parents of Jesus. Hint: I love them because they were chosen by the God of the Bible to closest to Him. They were created by the God of the Bible to be closest to Him.
